The COSCIA digital project, created by Libellula Lab 4.0
The coscia.it website was designed and developed by Libellula Lab 4.0, a digital studio based in Naples and Milan, which handled strategy, user experience, web development and search engine optimisation.
The jewellery, pearls and all product content belong to the COSCIA Maison of Torre del Greco: Libellula Lab 4.0 created only the digital project that presents them.
The project at a glance
- Client
- COSCIA, Italian pearl Maison since 1919
- Created by
- Libellula Lab 4.0 — Naples and Milan
- Scope
- Digital strategy, editorial UX/UI, web development, technical SEO, structured data
- Content
- Maison history, pearl guide, Classics catalogue, retailer network, editorial answers

Challenge and approach
Telling the story of a Maison with four generations of history while keeping the understated tone of fine jewellery. The approach was editorial: restrained typography, images in the lead, clear paths between Maison, the world of pearls, collections and consultation.
Editorial and multilingual architecture
Content is organised into thematic sections (Maison, Pearls, Collections, Buying guide, Partners, Journal, Q&A), with a Classics catalogue browsable by pearl family and type and a map of retailers in Italy. The site is available in Italian and English.
Technical SEO and structured data
Each page has its own title, description and canonical URL; the site provides a sitemap, robots.txt and schema.org structured data (Organization, LocalBusiness, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, Article) describing the Maison and its content consistently.
Readability for generative engines
In-depth pages answer common questions about pearls directly and are summarised in an llms.txt file. This makes the content easier for AI assistants to understand and cite, without any guarantee of how or when it will be shown.
Performance and accessibility
Optimised images served via CDN, descriptive alternative text, semantic heading structure and respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.

Two websites: coscia.it and lelunegioielli.it
The digital project covers two websites with different roles. coscia.it is the Maison's institutional site: history, pearls, collections and a network of more than 330 authorised jewellers in Italy. lelunegioielli.it is the online store of LELUNE, the contemporary line produced by the same company, COSCIA S.r.l.: over 820 references, more than 670 with cultured pearls, always natural in colour and never treated.
The pearl jewellery range is gathered on the LELUNE pearl jewellery page, while lines, prices and warranty are summarised on the LELUNE brand page of this website.
